CAKE CARE Tips

Cake STORAGE

Cakes are required to be stored in the fridge, but recommended to be enjoyed at room temperature. This means that you will need to find space in your fridge for your cake, and bring it out 3 hours before serving.

CAKE DIsplay

When displaying your cake, ensure the room is as cool as possible, and kept out of direct sunlight and heat especially in the summer months. If you’re placing your cake on a table or using a cake stand, make sure it’s nice and sturdy before popping your cake on.

Cake leftovers/freshness

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days for optimal cake freshness. When moving your cake around, keep it level at all times.

CAKE TRANSPORTATION

Hold the cake box from the bottom, avoiding handling it from the sides.

During transportation, keep baked goods away from direct sunlight in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Place the cake on a flat surface, like the footwell of the passenger seat, to prevent tipping or damage.

FAQ’s

Cutting Slices

While there are no rules about how to cut your cake, we’ve put together a few quick steps to help guide you through the cake cutting process.

Taller cakes and even portions, we recommend using a chopping board and cutting slices.

Slices:

TIP: Before you slice, take care to remove all toppers. embellishments and flowers.

1. Grab a chopping board, and hold it up against your cake.
2. Cut down all the way through the cake, letting the slice of cake gently fall onto the chopping board.
3. Cut into portions as desired - you can cut both horizontally and vertically.
Enjoy!
